City
of Aurora Grant Program
Grants will be made to not-for-profit organizations
with projects that will directly benefit
the residents of the City of Aurora. Grants from
quasi-governmental organizations such
as fire departments and emergency units may take
priority over other grant requests. An advisory
committee consisting of the members of the Aurora City
Council will advise the DCF on preferences among grant
applicants.
Entities that provide specific services for the City
of Aurora are also eligible to apply for
this grant program. Examples of the types of services
include: economic development, EMS, historic
preservation, housing, technical assistance,
transportation and youth services.
The City of Aurora would like to encourage
collaboration among applicants that are
willing to work together to improve the quality of life
in Aurora. The City of Aurora would
like to encourage the formation of a collaborative
umbrella organization to oversee all of the needs for
youth in Aurora. Steps need to be taken toward this
collaborative in order for your organization to receive
funding from this program. Ideally, the City of Aurora
would like to receive one request that would encompass
the needs of Aurora Soccer, Aurora Pee Wee Football,
Aurora Little League, YMCA and all other youth
organizations requesting operational support.
Please note, all applications will be taken under advisement
by Aurora City Council beginning in April 2008.
