Michael Cleary Memorial Scholarship Program

| This scholarship was started in memory of Michael Cleary,
who was killed in an auto accident in January 2000. At the time,
Mike was a freshman at East Central High School. He liked being
with his friends, football, hiking, camping, tearing things
apart, and rebuilding them, but his greatest passion was snow
skiing. Mike had a good heart and was always willing to help
where there was a need. |

| Amount of Scholarship: One $500
scholarship. |

Eligibility Criteria:
|
- Must be a current senior at East Central High School;
and
- Must be planning to attend college in the Fall of 2008
as a full-time student pursuing a 2-year or 4-year degree at
an accredited institution.

Evaluation Process:
|
- Application must include a copy of your high school
transcript to date, including attendance records, to be
provided by the Guidance Department;
- Complete one-page essay describing your future plans and
goals;
- Submit application and essay to the Dearborn Community
Foundation office no later than 4:00 pm January
14th, 2008;
- Staff will review your application to check for
eligibility, completeness, and professionalism; and
- Applications will be evaluated by a schiolarship
committee for scoring and selection recommendations.
