LAWRENCEBURG, IND., SEPTEMBER 13, 2018 – Dearborn Community Foundation, Inc. (DCF) is accepting applications for two scholarships: Ivy Tech Community College Scholarship and the Clifford & Gladys Ellerbrook Ender Nursing Scholarship. Students can apply for the scholarships online at the DCF website: dearborncf.org. The application deadline for both scholarships is 11:59 p.m. Friday, October 19, 2018.

The Foundation established the Ivy Tech Community College Scholarship to encourage Dearborn County residents to improve their educational attainment locally. Scholarships of up to $500 are awarded to a maximum of five students continuing their education at Ivy Tech Community College. The scholarships must be used within one year from the time they are awarded. The scholarships are to be applied to tuition and books.

The Clifford & Gladys Ellerbrook Ender Nursing Scholarship was established to help ensure that nursing care needs of the residents of Dearborn and Ohio counties are satisfied. The scholarship provides financial assistance to help individuals receive the adequate education and training to meet the nursing care needs of the two counties. This scholarship opportunity is open to students who reside in Dearborn County and who have graduated any time from South Dearborn, Aurora, Dillsboro or Moores Hill high schools. Up to $5,000 in scholarships are available.
