LAWRENCEBURG, INDIANA, July 2, 2019 – Dearborn Community Foundation’s 18th Annual Golf Scramble fundraiser is slated for Monday, August 12, at Hidden Valley Golf Club. CIVISTA Charitable Foundation, and Aurora Lions Club are the “Presenting Sponsors” for the event. Hidden Valley Lake POA/Hidden Valley Golf Club is donating the use of the golf course to the Foundation for the 18th straight year.
Net proceeds from the golf scramble will go to DCF’s Unrestricted Endowment, which helps the Foundation board of directors and staff address the community’s changing needs over time. Unrestricted Endowment provides grants to programs that feed and shelter people in need, support victims of abuse or violence, impact the environment, build trails and recreational projects, encourage educational as well as arts and cultural experiences and much more – here in Dearborn County. Good news is the net proceeds will also be matched $2-for-$1 thanks to Lilly Endowment Inc.’s GIFT (Giving Indiana Funds for Tomorrow) VII initiative.
“We appreciate the continuing support of both our presenting sponsors and, of course, the incredible generosity of the HVL POA and Hidden Valley Golf Club for their longtime support of the Foundation,” McCarter said. “All sponsors and golfers who participate in the event provide fine examples of philanthropy in our community.”
