DCF’S 23rd ANNUAL GOLF SCRAMBLE FUNDRAISER SET FOR AUGUST 5

LAWRENCEBURG, INDIANA, July 3, 2024 – Dearborn Community Foundation’s 23rd Annual Golf Scramble fundraiser is slated for Monday, August 5, at Hidden Valley Golf Club. CIVISTA Charitable Foundation is the “Presenting Sponsor” for the event. Hidden Valley Lake POA/Hidden Valley Golf Club is donating the use of the golf course to the Foundation for the 23rd straight year.

Net proceeds from the golf scramble will go to DCF’s Unrestricted Endowment, which helps the Foundation board of directors and staff address the community’s changing needs over time. Unrestricted Endowment provides grants to programs that feed and shelter people in need, support victims of abuse or violence, impact the environment, build trails and recreational projects, encourage educational (including scholarships) as well as arts and cultural experiences and much more – here in Dearborn County. Good news is the net proceeds will be matched $2-for-$1 thanks to Lilly Endowment Inc.’s GIFT (Giving Indiana Funds for Tomorrow) VIII initiative.

“We appreciate the continuing support of our presenting sponsor, CIVISTA Charitable Foundation and, of course, the incredible generosity of the HVL POA and Hidden Valley Golf Club for their longtime support of the Foundation,” McCarter said. “All sponsors and golfers who participate in the event are fine examples of philanthropists in our community.”
