This scholarship was established in memory of Jacob Amberger, who was killed in an auto accident in October 2012. At the time, Jacob was a junior at East Central High School and was on his way to the school to play in the boys soccer sectional final game. He was a third-year member of the ECHS Men’s Soccer team and he was one of the team captains. Jacob liked hanging out with his friends and being an Explorer with the Cheviot Police Department, as he was preparing to be a police officer. He will always be remembered for his warm hugs and big smiles. This scholarship will be given to a two year or more EC Men’s Soccer player planning to attend a 2 or 4 year college or Law Enforcement Academy.
Amount of Scholarship: one scholarship up to $500
